Camping is freedom. When you are ready to trade the ordinary for a peaceful night sky filled with millions of stars, look no further than Grand Teton National Park. A more intimate experience than a hotel, camping allows you to become part of your surroundings, sleeping among the pines and beneath Teton sunsets. You can tent camp at Gros Ventre Campground, Jenny Lake Campground, Headwaters Campground, or Colter Bay Campground. Park and plug in your recreational vehicle at our Colter Bay RV Park or Headwaters RV Park. Looking for a few more comforts? Headwaters Camper Cabins at Headwaters Campground, or the Colter Bay Tent Village, offer a comfortable alternative to traditional camping.
Most sites offer standard amenities including modern comfort stations, potable water, metal fire grates, picnic tables, and metal bear boxes. The maximum length of stay is 7 days per person at Jenny Lake, and 14 days at all other campgrounds—no more than 30 days in the park per year.
Drown It. Stir It. Feel It. If your fire is too hot to touch then it's too hot to leave! Visitors are reminded that unattended or abandoned campfires can easily escalate into wildfires. Visit Teton Interagency Fire to learn more about fire safety and current fire regulations in place.
Be Bear Aware! Grand Teton National Park is home to black and grizzly bears, moose, deer, and other large animals. Bears are often seen on trails and in the developed areas. Being prepared for an animal encounter can help ensure the safety of you and the wildlife. Learn more about food storage and wildlife safety guidelines.
